Brian Hester Reporting from NYC
The Sung Harbor Cultural Center hosts the New York Winter Lantern Festival through Jan. 12, 2020. In the event that you, like many New Yorkers and others in the tri-state area, have been super busy running around with so many holiday activities that you may not have had a minute to stop and enjoy the lights of the winter season for yourself, you are in luck. The Annual New York Winter Lantern Festival will remain on display through Jan. 12, 2020.
This spectacular display is open through January 12, 2020 and is easily accessible via mass transit from anywhere in the five boros and is only a short drive from the suburbs of northern New Jersey. The fee is reasonable and you may still be able to find an even better deal on groupon.
Other themes seen throughout the display included dinosaurs, snakes, flowers, and pandas. There are even some large, 2 story, lantern buildings. If you are looking for something different to see and do or maybe even to looking for something cool to take pictures of, this is it. Well worth the trip.
