Code Blue in the Shadows

With a large portion of the US experiencing record low temperature this week the homeless population find themselves more at risk than on other days. In NYC, former Mayor Ed Koch created Code Blue Laws, which are designed to force the homeless off the streets and into shelters during the most extreme of cold weather days.

As the country grapples with the recent Government shutdowns over a supposed border crisis real Americans are literally left to freeze to death within a hundred yards of President Trumps NYC residence.

Antonio, originally from the Bronx and Andre, originally from, Queens, are seen bundled up underneath the Greyshot Arch, located within Central Park opposite CPW and W 61 street. Unlike other panhandlers, such as the one pictured below, claiming to be a Veteran, seen sitting along a busy pedestrian thoroughfare in front of Trump Towers, neither Antonio nor Andre were seeking donations and never asked for a nickle during the 30 minutes that I spent speaking with them today.

I publish these photos in the most humble and respectful hope that our President, @realdonaldtrump will take action on behalf of the two gentlemen pictured here before they die of frostbite this evening.
